A little about Laneways…
Laneways Psychology Canberra is a small, supportive space created with clients in mind. Starting as a solo practice allows me to support clients from start to finish. I am passionate about working with the Canberra community, and love seeing the impact of this work every day.
I’m dedicated to maintaining evidence-based practice, including promoting weight and body neutral principles. I’ve worked closely with individuals, families and the wider community in many capacities, and recognise the complex tapestry underlying an individual’s goals, health and development.
I primarily work from an Acceptance Commitment Therapy, EMDR, and Schema Therapy basis, focused on helping individuals to participate in, and work with, their unique experiences. I also utilise Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solutions Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. Above all, the most important part of my work is creating a safe, neutral, supportive environment in which individuals can progress.
Outside of work you'll find me turning some part of the house into a DIY, crocheting and always creating the next project. I love finding a new board game or podcast, and I’m a big ol' pilates and bouldering nerd.

EMDR
What’s EMDR all about? Aka: Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. EMDR might sound high-tech, but it’s a gentle, effective way to help your brain process trauma, anxiety, or distressing memories—no need to talk through every detail. Schema Therapy
What’s Schema Therapy all about?Schema Therapy helps you understand early life patterns that still shape how you think, feel, and relate to others. If you’re stuck in emotional loops, it’s all about breaking free and building healthier ways of being. If this sounds like your kind of therapy, I’ll probably set you homework to watch Inside Out—it’s basically Schema 101 in movie form. Available in Canberra and via telehealth.

Sometimes a mix of approaches is exactly what’s needed. Alongside our main therapies, we also offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for practical tools to shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviours, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to focus on your strengths and goals, and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), a gentle tapping method to help calm your nervous system. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all—we’ll find what fits you.
